We changed a few things from our initial ideas to filming these were;

-Clothing
unexpected filming so we adapted

-Briefcase
Changed to a bag again because of lack of preparation

-Location
Found a more suited room to film in

Negative Points Of Filming

Bad points of Filming;

-Non of our group had done media before so we found it difficult learning how to edit

-We had problems acting the roles during the scenes

-Took a few takes for each shot because of laughter or errors.

Good points of Filming

Good points of Filming;

-we all worked well as a team

-The picture of how we wanted the scene to look were the same so we had no disagreements

-We had a good story line and had allot of ideas to make the scene more original

-We managed to film all the shots within an hour

-Each member adapted to their role easily

-Everything went as planned

-The project is what we expected it to be

-During the editing process we all had good ideas to contribute

Filming

Our group originally planned to film on the 1st and 2nd of October however this was postponed due to a member of the group being absent with an illness.We then re-arranged the date and filmed on the 4th and 5th of October instead.

Preliminary Task

This is my AS Preliminary Blog
My preliminary task is filming and editing a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character- they exchange a couple of lines of dialogue. this scene should include three shots match on action, shot/reverse shot and 180 degree rule.

Match and Action
-is an editing technique which one shot cuts to another portraying the action of the subject in the first shot.

For Example in The Big Bang Theory when one character is knocking on the door and you see them from behind knocking. when the door is opened you see the character from the front as the camera is on the other side on the door.

Shot Reverse Shot
-is an editing technique used in conversation or simply characters looking at each other or objects.

For Example in friends during an argument between Phoebe and Ross we have a mid shot of ross then mid shot of phoebe then back to a mid shot of ross (1.03s)

180 Degree Rule
-is a filming guideline that participants in a scene should have the same left-right relationship to each other, with filming only taking place within the 180 degree angle in which is maintained in the conversation
